The best way I have found to make this process easier is by doing small chunks every day.  If I can’t tackle it alone, I will invite a friend that’s going to hold me accountable over for brunch.

My motto: If I haven’t used it all year, it’s out the door! Now, this may not work for you. But it is the best way for me to keep my life in order. More so my mind. Clutter makes my head hurt!! Seriously.

So let’s spring into decluttering by donating, selling, or throwing away things that no longer serve us.  HAPPY RENEWAL!

Breathe With The Flow Of Life

How many of you are actually breathing? I mean deep down breathing! Or are you holding your breath? I know I have caught myself holding my breath as I live in this chaotic world. One day it hit me. You are not breathing with the flow of life you are breathing against it.

Well Damn! I thought. Here I am practicing yoga, inhaling and exhaling with each pose, but I am holding my breath as I sit in traffic. #You all know how traffic can bring out the worst emotions.  But no more, I now make a conscious effort to breathe with the flow of life no matter where I am or what I am doing. So check yourself if you’re holding your breath because it leads to poor health.

Breathe, Breathe, Breathe with the flow of life….

Give Me A Beet!!

I had to twist a friend of mines tastebuds a few years ago. She was convinced that she didn’t and wouldn’t like the taste of beet juice. Well, to this day, it is one of her favorites! And rightly so!
The beautiful red color does some amazing things to your cells. They are high in vitamin A, which makes your skin glow from the inside out! Beets are also great for cleansing the liver. That major organ to help other organs stay on the right track. You’re probably thinking, yeah that’s great, but what about the taste?! Because it’s always about taste, right?
This juice combination started my juicing journey. Give it a try and let me know if you are a beetliever;-)
1 small beet
6 organic carrots
5 celery stalks
1/2 organic Granny Smith apple
1 lime, with peel
1/4 inch of ginger root, with or without peel
Juice the lime and ginger first. Then add all other ingredients. Serve in a wine glass for fun!

Chocolate Almond “Milk” Bliss

Almond “milk” is so easy to make.  I have been skipping the soaking my almonds and straining them to make my “milk” lately. I felt like I was wasting all the protein that is in the leftover meal. Sometimes I don’t strain it for that reason. So instead of going through all that, I have been using raw almond butter with purified water, blackstrap molasses, cacao, mesquite powder, a pinch of iodized sea salt, and a little cinnamon. So delicious! I know I say that about almost everything that I make but it’s the truth! Check out the recipe below to give it a try.  You can also make it without the cacao for plain ole almond “milk” that’s better than the store brands and it has more protein! Store brands have 1 gram of protein or less, which is ridiculous. One cup of almonds has about 20 grams of protein, so what’s wrong with this picture? Don’t forget almonds and almond butter are high in fat but that shouldn’t stop you from making your own.

Let me know which way you decided to make your own almond “milk”.  Healthy Warriors are Wealthy Warriors!

1 1/2 cup of purified water

2-3 tbs of Almond butter…2 tbs=7 grams of protein

1 tbs of blackstrap molasses…you can replace with one pitted date, 1 tsp of honey or 1 tsp of maple syrup

1 tbs of cacao powder

1 tbs of Mesquite powder

a pinch of iodized sea salt….got to keep my thyroid in check

a pinch of cinnamon

vanilla extract is optional if you are leaving out the cacao and Mesquite powder

Happy Anniversary!!!

Two years ago I birthed my first baby. I went through so many labor pains with my publisher, lost a lot of money, and shut myself down for awhile. Then a year ago today, I felt the fear and  decided to do it anyway by sharing my baby as an eBook for the world to see.  I am thankful that I didn’t let my labor pains stop me from believing in my passion! I am also grateful for all of the support that I have received thus far.
