My Story

My yoga journey started five years ago but I didn’t start to understand my practice until I went through teacher training this past year. Yoga always brought a sense of clarity to my spirit and mind.  I also loved how my body felt so connected after practicing. It just felt natural to become a yoga teacher. Teaching is part of my fiber. I was a K-8/science teacher for ten years.  Teaching is part of my story.

At the beginning of my journey, I started out practicing and loving Vinyasa sequences; however, since becoming a RYT 200, I have been focusing on Yin/Restorative Yoga.  I have realized that people, including myself, don’t know how to be still! Once I allowed my spirit, mind, and body to just be, my focus as a new teacher became clearer. My mentor, Dianne Bondy, ERYT500, director of Eastside Yoga, influenced me to just be instead of trying to be.  I am learning to allow the new light within to shine through.

This light has always been to help others feel good about themselves as well as teach them how to heal their spirit, mind, and body by using food. Juicing was already my connection to helping people become more aware of their health, so it just made sense to integrate yoga to complete my passion package. This is my story…

Breathe With The Flow Of Life,

Tie

I’m glad you shared your story. You are still teaching just in another setting. I needed to hear that.
