Are You Ready!!!!! YES!!! We are going to do this together again:-)  Five days to cleanse, get clarity, and maybe even lose a few inches;-)  Please remember to listen to your body on this journey.  If you are currently taking any medication talk to your physician before doing the fast.   You will be a little tired the first day or two, you may even get a headache, do not worry it’s just your body detoxing. PLEASE drink 64 ounces of water as you will find yourself going to the bathroom more, which could lead to dehydration!!!  If you feel that you can only do a few days, congratulate yourself and strive to add on a few more days next time.  I am not going to lie and say that this journey will be easy, yet, it will be worth it!!!  I have listed a few recipes that you can drink throughout the day for the next five days. I did not include the calorie content and such as I did for my smoothies, because it’s a fast! Little to no calories and/or fat.  Sugar content will be based on the apples which is about 23grams for a large one, about 6grams for small  beets,  about 9grams for 1 serving of pineapple,  oranges are about 23 grams, grapefruit has about 7 grams and about 18 grams for a medium papaya .  Natural sugar is the best, but we still have to be mindful of it.  If you come up with other great juice combinations, share, share,  BTW…you can store the juice in the refrigerator for up to 72 hours before all of the enzymes are depleted. Freezing right after you juice is even better;-))   This will help you save time in the morning.   Health is Wealth!!!

Swiss Beets:

1 medium beet-Peel outer layer off first

4 stalks of celery

1 lemon-Rinse and leave peel on

1 piece of ginger-About a thumb size

1 Granny Smith apple-Please take the seeds out before juicing.  Seeds are known to have a high level of cyanide in them.  Based on research, not 100% sure, but I always take the seeds out!


Joe Cross’s Mean Green Juice:

6 kale leaves

1 cucumber-Peeled

4 celery stalks

1/2 lemon

1 piece of ginger

2 Granny Smith apples

I Beg Your Parsley!:

1 handful of spinach

4-5 collard green leaves

1 lemon

1 peeled cucumber

1 small handful of parsley

3 chunks of pineapple

Zucchini  Mini:

2 handfuls of spinach

3-4 leaves of collard greens

3-4 stalks of celery

1 medium zucchini-Do not peel

4 chunks of pineapple

Orange Zinger:

2-3 carrots

1 piece of ginger- You may use less or more depending on your palate

1/2 lime

1 golden beet (small-medium)

*1 Granny Smith apple-Do not forget to take the seeds out before juicing

*Apple is optional

Sunrise Surprise:

1  large grapefruit-Peeled

1-2 oranges-Peeled

3 chunks of pineapple

1 piece of ginger


1/2 of a papaya-Peel and take the seeds out

1 lime or lemon-I prefer the lime, but the lemon is just as tasty.

3-4 chunks of pineapple

*Optional- I also added 1/2 of a grapefruit which gave it a twist;-)
